About BHSPHO

The Baptist Health System Physician Hospital Organization (BHSPHO) maintains 22 Preferred Provider health care contracts. The contracts can either be of a “single signature” (commit both BHS and physicians) nature or in some instances have separate hospital and physician contracts. The BHSPHO maintains 22 Preferred Provider health care contracts.

The BHSPHO credentials each physician and all contracted plans have accepted our credentialing policies and procedures and delegates credentialing to the BHSPHO.

The BHSPHO is a messenger model PHO. The BHSPHO messengers each contract to the network physicians and they can opt-in or opt-out of any BHSPHO contract.
